Hello, I hope you are all safe and well both mentally and physically. This pandemic is rough. I have many new pieces of writing that I have created during the past several months, and I plan to post some of them here on the blog. For now, I hope you will read my newest piece on Medium. The link is here.

‘What Do You Do?’ is the easiest question in the world for a lot of people but an almost impossible barrier to jump if one has schizophrenia. Through sheer determination, you jumped that barrier. Congratulations.

I actually do do something. I research neurological illnesses. But I can’t state that publicly. An individual with schizophrenia announcing he is researching neurological illnesses would be a sign of his madness.

What is worse in terms of being believed and not being thought mad is I think I have made lots of progress in terms of understanding the biological basis of schizophrenia. However, though I am not depressed, delusional or disorganized I am extremely apathetic, can not concentrate and I am very fatigued. I have played more games of Portal than any man my age should have played.

One of my worst symptoms is anxiety. I used to think it was a lack of motivation but no, anxiety is worse.
